Montrose Community Bank Project
It's All Systems Go for the Montrose Community Branch
Sufficient pledges have been received and planning is underway to open a Bendigo Bank Community Branch in Montrose. The branch is likely to open in March/April 2010.
The benefits to the local community and the football club could be substantial in future years as the branch will return up to 50% of it's profits back into local community projects. The Mount Evelyn an Districts Community Bank has just recently given the Montrose Football Club a grant for $10,000. This money will be allocated to the fit out of the new community pavilion.
Since its inception the Mt Evelyn and Districts Community Bank has provided grants to local community projects exceeding 1 million dollars.
We urge all club members, supporters and local community members to consider supporting the bank. Accounts opened at the Mt Evelyn branch can be temporarilly assigned to the Montrose branch until such time as the Montrose branch opens.
Anyone taking out a new community bank loan will not have to pay any bank loan application / establishment fees for an initial period of time. Various Government charges will still apply.
