Welcome to MFC Juniors
It is my privilege to welcome you to the Montrose Football & Netball Club. For those families new to the club, and our ‘Auskickers’ graduating into Junior footy, we extend a special welcome. Our Auskick program is the life blood of our club, and the skills that you have learnt will put you in good stead for your football career.
In 2021 we will have around 400 junior players across 20 teams (approx. 300 boys in 15 teams and 100 girls in 5 teams), and are one of the strongest junior clubs in the EFNL in terms of participation. The Senior football club will play in Division 1 in 2021, which is one below the highest division in the EFNL, and we are all very excited with the prospect of our first Women’s team. The Senior club also have three senior netball teams which play competitive in the “Eastern Football Netball League” on a Friday night.
Rules, regulations, laws and expectations dominate local community football in the modern age. No longer can we just turn up to play a game and go home. There is so much more to it! We ensure we provide quality, trained coaches, competent officials, including trained medical staff, a variety of (often expensive) equipment, both for matches and training, and strong administration, from a totally volunteer group. Together with brilliant facilities and the foothills of the Dandenongs as the back drop, we are one of the most respected clubs in the region.
With the season ready to go I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our Coaches and their team of assistants. A number of our coaches are taking on their role for the first time so I am sure that we all wish them well. Good luck also to those that have been down that road before and have generously put their hand up again.
We look forward to you being a part of this great club. Should you wish to contact me to discuss any aspects of the club’s program please email me via junior.president@montrosefc.org.au, or CLICK HERE for all current registration information.
